You guys! The Patriots are off to the Superbowl! Woohoo! I’m actually not a major sports fanatic, but being born and raised in New England one kind of has to be a Pats fan. Plus isn’t the Superbowl just the perfect opportunity for lots and lots of yummy food like these finger licking 5 Ingredient Chicken Wings?
And these wings are super easy to make. I did mention they only have 5 ingredients, right? Well these babies slow cook and the brown sugar marinade becomes all caramelized and the chicken is tender and juicy. Plus they are no fuss as you just put them in your baking dish, put into the oven and when the timer goes off enjoy! We would usually transfer the wings and their sauce into a crock pot to transfer to the game and keep warm all throughout the game…although as soon as you smell these I don’t think they’ll make it to half time!
- 2 pounds chicken wings (cut the wings into 2 pieces...or have your butcher do this)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- In a glass bowl (or even a gallon zip lock bag) whisk together the brown sugar, orange juice, water, soy sauce and minced garlic. Add your chicken wings. Cover with plastic wrap and put in refrigerator for at least 6 hours or over night.
- Preheat oven to 325. Pour the wings and marinade into a 9x13 glass baking dish. Bake uncovered for 2 1/2 - 3 hours or until the marinade has turned into a caramely, finger licking sauce.
- To keep wings hot during game you can add the wings and their sauce to a crock pot and keep on warm setting.

These look so good, and I love that they’re so simple. They can be whipped up pretty easy if the prep is done, and I like that they’ll keep in the crock pot. I’m pinning this one for later – Thanks!

I’ve never made wings but this recipe has me actually CRAVING them! Your photos look so delicious too! I think these would be awesome with toasted sesame seeds (only because I’m obsessed with them!)
