This post is sponsored by Gorton’s Seafood.Oh sweet fall in New England. It is seriously the place movies are made of. Fall fairs, corn mazes, apple, and pumpkin picking galore…all while being surrounded by the spectacular colors of changing leaves and crisp autumn air.
Fall activities have gotten more and more fun as the boys are getting older. Carter has been out apple picking since he was just a few days old (it feels like yesterday we had him bundled in his front wrap to take him to get cider and apples!) But now both boys thrive on the family fun adventures revolved around all things fall.
I sat down with my boys and asked them what we should try to accomplish this fall. I’ve seen some bucket lists, that while they look like a blast, have just a little too much going on. So the boys and I narrowed it down to 10 simple and attainable activities. These are activities we can do right in our surrounding towns and I think we will be able to get it done amongst all the family busyness.
However, on some of these days we work on checking off all of the fall things, life gets a little to busy to make a comfort meal for dinner. Enter Gorton’s Seafood Shrimp bowls. I’ve shared about these quick and easy dinner bowls before (see the post here!) But they have become a staple in our freezer. Warm shrimp bowls = a very happy belly, especially for my husband!
These bowls come in two flavors: Black Garlic Wine Risotto and Stir Fry with Soba Noodles. Both options store in the freezer and are ready in under 6 minutes in the microwave. I’m so thankful to have a warm comfort food entree that I can serve after a day filled with checking things off the Fall Bucket List.
Plus since these bowls have next to no clean up they can be enjoyed just about anywhere! We took them outside and enjoyed them by the fire pit while the boys roasted marshmallows. Talk about all things cozy with plaid blankets, warm drinks and lots of family laughter.

Below are some photos from our weekend filled with Fall themed activities. We are working hard on checking those items off our list!
