It may be the most wonderful time of the year but it is plain and simply the busiest. I try to say no to most things throughout the year but there is something about Christmastime that has me saying yes to more things than I mean to. How can I say no to a piano recital for my first born or visiting at least 3 different Santas for my youngest? (Hint…I haven’t said no!)
The memories made with all these special moments are so worth the late nights with bedtime schedules completely thrown off, laundry piling up in the laundry room, and not knowing what to have for dinner. Actually scratch that! I definitely know what to have for dinner and have kept them in my freezer all season long.
Gorton’s Seafood Shrimp Bowls are a lifesaver this time of year. For those days when we are running out the door I’m able to microwave a Gorton’s Seafood Shrimp Bowl in under 6 minutes resulting in a happy husband who is ready to tackle the next holiday activity.
I’m thinking about the amount of times these past few weeks I’ve served up these Gorton’s Seafood Shrimp Bowls. Louis got one after hauling in the tree, more were served when I got back from a full day of Christmas shopping with mom & grandma, and of course the bowl shown in these photos was downed moments after the last picture was snapped! See! They really are a freezer staple!
The shrimp bowl shown is my husband’s favorite: Black Garlic Wine Risotto. But I also keep the Stir Fry with Soba Noodles handy to mix things up. Either flavor is available in your local grocer’s freezer department but you can use the Store Finder to find out exactly where to buy.
As far as that Christmas memory making? I’m sharing a few highlights from the past few weeks of this busy season. And yes, these pictures above were indeed styled to make story time look even more “Instagram worthy”. But as soon as my husband was done capturing these moments for me, we all curled up on the afghan, my photographer (hubby) downed the Gorton’s Seafood Shrimp bowl, and the little guys and I cozied up in front of the fire and read numerous Christmas stories. Sweet sweet memories made.
