My husband loves iced tea. Whether green tea, flavored tea and unless mixed with lemonade it’s always unsweetened. As soon as we heard about Celestial Teas at Walmart, I just knew I’d have to try them and make them iced his very favorite way: cold brew iced tea.
By making cold brew iced tea I can ensure we will always have iced tea in the fridge! It’s so simple to make and my husband says it just tastes better made this way and is almost never bitter.
So the last time I was at Walmart I picked up some boxes of Celestial Tea. I chose the Lemon Lavender Lane from their Herb line and Wild Berry Zinger as well as Raspberry Zinger. As soon as I opened the boxes the delicious smells of fresh herbs and berries filled the room! I knew the cold brew iced tea had to be pared with something extra special.
To highlight the lavender, lemon, herbs and berries I figured I’d try my hand at making some embellished ice cubes. I filled my empty ice cube trays with clean lemon pieces, raspberries and clippings of lavender and lemon thyme. I then topped with water and froze until solid. How perfect to display with cold brew iced tea at a bridal or baby shower!
Of course I served the Lemon Lavender Lane cold brew iced tea with iced cubes embellished with little wedges of lemons and others with clippings of lavender.
And the Raspberry Zinger cold brew iced tea was served with iced cubes filled with raspberries and sprigs of thyme. You could use any variety of fresh berries or herbs such as blackberries, blueberries, rosemary or lemon balm.
Cold Brew Iced Tea

- 4 tea bags
Embellished Ice Cubes

Instructions
Cold Brew Iced Tea
-
In your pitcher (it's best to use glass), pour your cold filtered water over your tea bags. The tea bags will want to float so push down with a spoon. I actually leave the spoon in the pitcher while cold brewing to ensure the bags stay submerged in the water.
-
Cover pitcher and place in refrigerator for 8-12 hours. Remove the tea bags and serve over ice!
