Can you believe the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is just weeks away? It’s seriously one of my favorite sales of the year and would you believe it if I told you last year was my first year shopping it!?! The first catalog is available now and I’m sure much more will be coming in the days leading up to the sale. I’m highlighting some important information below and also sharing my initial picks that I’ll be for sure snagging.
IMPORTANT DATES
The sale starts for the public on July 19th. BUT…if you have the Nordstrom credit card then you can start shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale with Early Access on July 12th.
NORDSTROM CREDIT CARD
So if you have the Nordstrom credit card you get early access (and other benefits like double points days, free alteration credits, no styling fee for trunk club and more. See here for details.)
Now here is the thing…if you don’t use credit cards, are trying to get out of debt, will be tempted to spend your whole credit limit, can’t pay off what you put on, etc. etc., then PLEASE don’t do it. Just don’t. We’ve been in the credit card trap in the past as a family and have vowed NEVER AGAIN! I’ll be honest, I have the card only to get early access. But I’ve also been setting money aside over the past few months knowing the sale is coming up. I also have a few gift cards I’ve received that I’ve set aside for this event.
Regarding GIFT CARDS, I’ve heard that so long as you have the Nordstrom Credit Card then you can get Early Access but be able to choose a different format of payment such as a gift card. So this may be an option to open the card just to get shopping on the 12th. But again, please don’t open a card and go in debt just so you can shop the sale!
HOW TO SHOP MY SHOPPING GUIDES
As the sale gets closer I’ll be including a link right at the top of my blog that says NSALE. I’ll also be posting plenty over on Instagram Stories and the LiketoKnow.it App by following fromthefamily. And if I can get my act together then it will be in my newsletter (I’ll post a link here shortly for how to sign up!)
All my Shopping Guides are very user friendly. Did you know you can click on anything that catches your eye right on the photo collage and be take directly to that item? If that isn’t working for you (sometimes can be weird if you are on mobile), then keep scrolling on any shopping guide and you’ll find shopable links. MY FAVORITE SALE TIPS
- Things go quick! If you see something you like check out immediately.
- Just because you put something in your shopping cart does not mean it’s being held for you. I like to make many small purchases so I can snag what I’d like!
- If you like something but they don’t have your size then buy a different size. In the past Nordstrom has been wonderful about letting you exchange for the correct size when it goes back in stock (even if it’s after the sale!) But because you shopped during the sale you get to keep the sale price.
- See something you liked but it’s sold out? Keep checking! Nordstrom will continually restock as they get customer returns in.
- Buy online and pick up in store is life.
