I thought I’d take a little bit of time and share with you something I’m loving right now…and that’s our new Whole Foods that is opening the end of this week in Bedford, NH. I first went to my first Whole Foods while visiting family in Seattle, and have often shopped at Whole Foods in the surrounding area. There are so many reasons why I love Whole Foods and to have one opening where I frequently shop…eek!
I had the opportunity today to take a sneak peak at the new location. And oh my goodness are we in for a treat! I think this new location has all my favorite features from all the different locations I’ve visited (I can’t figure out if I like the fact each location is different or not…but with this location it doesn’t matter as it has it all!)
In addition to my favorite departments (local produce, floral and of course their delicious coffee…make sure you try their cold brew!) this location has a few features I’ve never seen in any of the Whole Foods I’ve visited. Check out this adorable Fresh Juice juice bar! Why do I have a feeling my little guy will be wanting to make a stop here every time we visit.
I know I’d be quite happy to park myself at this Fromagerie (the sign says “ask for a sample anytime”…I’ll try that, and that, and…)
I’ve always loved the bulk section of Whole Foods. Not only is it cheaper to buy frequently used items in bulk as you save on packaging, but it is also a great and inexpensive way to get some specialty ingredients if you are trying a new recipe. One amazing addition this location has in their bulk section is their Pasta Bar! How much fun!
The Whole Foods Bedford, NH location did a great job paying tribute to the history of Bedford. Whole Foods stands on what use to be a beautiful hotel back in its day; the Sheraton Wayfarer Inn. They have included a beautiful tribute wall to the John Goffe’s Mills and Inn. Plus all of the wood paneling as well as these fabulous tables are all made out of beams from the original hotel! I see a date night in my future at their new Grillworks with outdoor patio seating overlooking the Goffe Mill.
Yes, shopping at Whole Foods can take a dent out of your weekly food budget. But they really do have so much to offer! I just learned about their monthly calendar with all sorts of free events, my favorites being:
- Yoga
- What’s Cooking Wednesday’s (a tasting event throughout the store)
- Movie nights
- Mom & Baby meets
- Cheese Night
And I’m sure you already know to grab their monthly coupon book for money saving offers. But did you also know about their app? These coupons really are amazing and will help add up the savings! (some current coupons as of April 2016):
- $1 off 3-lb bag Organic Navel Oranges
- $2 off $8 or more Grass-Fed Ground Beef
- $1 off one Whole Foods Market Italian Soda
Whole Foods definitely fits into my category of an “experience shop”. I’m willing to pay a little more on every day items to partake in the whole experience that awaits me…espresso beverages, retro juice bars, smoked meats, mommy and me groups, natural pizza on the go. Whole Foods Bedford nailed it with their new location…(and check out this amazing swag bag they were handing out today!)
With Love, Jennifer
